This guide gives a very up to date review of most of the restaurants worth eating at in London. I especially like the summary at the end of each description describing the usual dress of the diners, average cost, wether mobiles are allowed, rules on cigars etc. Unlike the Good Food guide & Michelin Guide The Evening Standard Guide does not have symbols or points out of ten to give you a quick idea of how good a restaurant is but I personally don't find these particularly useful anyway. I think this guide is one of the most accurate and enjoyable to read - you don't have to just use it as a reference book. I would also say the restaurants reviewed tend to be of the fashionable (and expensive!) variety, but why would you eat anywhere else?
