Format:Audio CD
Great that this CD is out earlier this year to mop up more sales, it's as eclectic as always, a sprinkling of greatness: my favourites come from UK, Spain, Estonia (previous reviewer, *that's* a great dance track! :) ), Russia, Ireland, Bosnia-H, Denmark, Azerbaijan and a few others, as well as some duffers: I don't care much for France personally but lots do, Lithuania.
This CD represents super value for all tastes. Can't wait for May 10-14 for the shows and my favourite week of the year!

Format:Audio CD
AMAZINGLY, the United Kingdom didn't come bottom this year, and actually finished in the top ten, but oh the shame! We were beaten by Jedward!
For those who couldn't believe it when originally broadcast this CD is the official album and we can all listen to the songs again.
In a way, it's better this way - we can concentrate on the music without the distraction of weird and wonderful (?) cavorting on the stage, or the sight of a beautiful woman (or man).
Presented almost in alphabetical order (why are some out of order?), the first typically `Eurovision' type song is Armenia's Boom Boom - the title says it all; and you can easily tell why Running Scared won it for Azerbaijan, it's just a beautiful song - and some might say wasted on Eurovision.
Italy's return to the contest gave us the swing-tinged Madness Of Love which so nearly won.
Another benefit of this CD is the fact that it doesn't just contain the songs we endured - sorry - enjoyed on the Saturday night, but ALL the entrants from the semi-finals as well, making a grand total of 43 songs.
But somebody please explain how Israel counts as European.
It's a great souvenir of a special slice of entertainment and a way of enjoying the contest without having to sit through the joke that is the voting.
You could even use it to have your own Eurovision Song Contest and cast your own votes!
These official CD's have been coming out since 2000 and I think they're a great idea.

This is only my fourth eurovision but so far it is set to be the best with best greatest songs out of the years i,ve seen.
I bought not realy knowing what the songs were going to be like but now that I have bought it I am glad that I did, best purchaes of the Year,
Its great to hear so many realy great songs instead of the few greats and the other terrible songs of the past ( UK a fine example). The best two are Hungary and UK in my opinion. So come on Blue and bring it home again!!!!

Good value
Double CD which includes songs that did not actually reach the contest but which are enjoyable. Would recommend if you like just good down to earth music.

eurovision song cd review
It's ok nothing special but this year I found a few more songs I actually liked. Love listening in my car to work. My 9yr old daughter loves it.
