4.0 out of 5 stars The New Alternative 4 Jun 2003
Format:Audio CD
Wandered across this album quite randomly - very impressive! Such a bizarre twist on sound something of NIN with Matchbox 20 or coupled with some other light-sounding metal band. Bizarre background sounds yet superb mixing; really appealing to someone with an unsure taste in music (like me). Industrial but slightly more approachable for any alternative music-lovers. A definite BUY one if you can get a hold of one. I think.

4.0 out of 5 stars pretty good 31 May 2011
Format:Audio CD
here we go everybody, heres zeromancer one of those bands you probably never heard of until now, but dont let thier obscurity or lack of popularity put you off them. i enjoyed this record because i enjoy things of this nature,i like the electronic rock/industrial rock type artist. this band is very similar to orgy and deadsy and thier image is identical to orgys, but the music is heavier and more harsh than that of orgy (not that this is particularly heavy itself ) but you get the point.
i wont get into a review of every track because i will let you people test them out for yourself and form your own opinion but all i will say is if you like orgy then you will probably like this. The reason im given this review four stars is because there are a few tracks that i wasnt particularly fussed on but most of it i found very good. but any way listen to some samples of them and thier music videos are on youtube, so get cracking and see what ya think.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just great stuff, original, rowdy, wierd, edgy, fun, pounding 17 Nov 2006
By D. Crain - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I usually seem to get attracted to music first, then seem to try to get into the lyrics. I'm kind of sick of the 20 something suffering lyrics about love, loneliness, government oppression, all sorts of youthly, naive, and idealistic themes.

With Zeromancer, I seem to get into the whole song, the words and music are one thing. The WHOLE song, music structure, technical playing, voices, lyrics, everything just works. Their lyrics are somewhat offbeat, and therefore, pretty appealing to me at least. They are bordering on dark subjects, but presented with a cynical yet humorous twist. Doctor Online and Eurotrash are perfect examples of this approach to writing lyrics.

I can listen to this record over and over when I'm in the mood. They remind me of some of the great 80s romance bands, depeche mode edgy and dark, but with a more pounding rythmic base to all the songs.

Great stuff for the open minded music lover.

4.0 out of 5 stars Zeromancer stand apart. 4 Sep 2002
By John Davis - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
... Zeromancer is very pop sounding and a very fun record to listen to. It has the dark overtones, but is done the right way, ... . Zeromancer may use a lot of synth, but they do not OVERUSE it like so many others do. The music has a nice ammount of guitar with catchy riffs. This sounds like a rock album with synth, as oppossed to a synth album with a couple rock elements. Zeromancer's main trap is their chourses, all very repetitive and catchy. The vocals are delivered wonderfully, with occasional effects, but not constant vocal distortion, yet another synth-pop cliche. The lyrics are a bit weak at times, but as said before they are a "fun" band. The best tracks are Dr. Online, Germany, Neo Geisha, and Need You Like A Drug. ... In conclusion, do not judge this band because of the stereotypes(or what bad cliche record label they are on..), or you might overlook what could be your new favorite record.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best CD by Zeromancer. 26 Dec 2004
By Jack Thomas - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This is in my opinion the best CD by Zeromancer (who I came across from a friend, when I first listened to the song Doctor Online I was almost moved to tears, not to sounds like a pansy or an emo kid, but they are just that good), I myself listen to metal/heavy metal/industrial, this CD is heavier then they're other cd I have Clone Your Lover (I have yet to really listen to or purchase there newest album ZZYZX), if you like NIN and Razed in Black, or Skinny Puppy(which is in a bit of a different Genre), I would recommend this purchase, great cd.
