The Titanic CD-Rom consists of three main sections:
Disaster Investigation provides the news from the days after the tragedy, as shown in the newspapers of the time, and from personal accounts provided by witnesses.
Dive Into The shows how the various expeditions tried and eventually succeeded in locating the remains of the Titanic. Recovered objects can be examined, and movie clips provide a 'fly-by' experience underwater. There is a virtual onscreen joystick which lets you control the Virtual Reality sequences of underwater movement, using QuickTime, and you can zoom towards and away from the wreck.
Chronology provides a day by day, minute by minute record of the precise train of events. Presented in the form of a diary or log, this plain factual record of events actually provides the most moving part of the disc, as the inevitability and sheer unavoidability of the disaster is revealed.
