A volcano is erupting and Thunderbirds swing into action to prevent disaster. You join them in this exciting educational adventure, having loads of fun and learning at the same time.
You’re on Thunderbird 5 when you receive a message about the volcano then use co-ordinates and grid references to find its exact location in the world.
The action then moves to Brains s laboratory where you track a course to the volcano, avoiding no-fly areas and working out flying and arrival times.
Thunderbird 1 flies a reconnaissance mission, followed by Thunderbird 2 equipped with the winch pod. You use this to complete a series of challenging rescue missions as you race against time.
All activities are interwoven with learning outcomes that are in line with the UK National Curriculum.

I didn't realise this wasn't the full operation volcano game I'd heard of when buying it but is seems far simpler and easier to use than the reviews of the fuller version. Saying that it plays like a full game. My 4 year old loves it and although he couldn't control much the first couple of goes he can now do about half the missions himself and he just loves it he does love anything with thunderbirds though! I have to admit to quite liking it myself, on expert level it is quite challenging with having to input map co-ordinates there is definetly plenty of room for growth and I'm sure we'll be coming back to play it for several years to come there is also a encylopedia of all things volcanic with keywords linking to other entries and images and some with soundclips too.
