Great - full of helpful information even for people like my husband and I - we are in our fifties planning our first trip to Europe and definitely on a tight budget.

Lots of information makes this guide slightly too heavy, especially if youre travelling with backpack. Theres a lot of maps but you can get these (better and bigger maps) from tourist information centres aswell. This guide covers lots of cities, even the smaller ones. I like the Rough Guides Europe on a Budget -guide more.

Nice book, all the major cities in all the european (and some other local) countries. I just wish there was a key/legend on every map to make it easier to decipher!

Europe on a shoestring
This is a super book and gives one great advice on how to travel on a budget. One wishes that the book was made less on a shoestring and included some pictures of famous sights.

I heard a lot of good things about this guide and I wasn't disapointed, however if you're looking for a specific country you should get a guide of that country, not this one. Read more

Ok.
Alot to cover so pretty basic. Not as good as the Rough Guide but covers Iceland which the Rough Guide version dosn't. That was the only reason I bought it.
