This book by Paul Grimwood describes fire fighting tactics and ventilation at fires in great detail. There are a lot of scenarios by which different aproaches, riscs and tactics are explained to the reader. A chapter in the style of a round table shows opinions from fire fighters world wide. This book should be read by everyone who enters burning structures and must be read by everyone who sends fire fighters into burning structures. A small point of critique: some photos and more figures would be nice.

This has to be one of the best books I have ever read covering firefighting strategy & tactics! It offers a simple but detailed approach to a wide range of topics that are important to all first responders and fire commanders. It is extensive in its coverage and real value for money!
