5.0 out of 5 stars True Trance Experience, Unreal mix of genius!, 4 Mar 2002
By lllminded@msn.com (Baltimore, Maryland US) - See all my reviews
To tell you the truth I was extremely surprised with this album. I produce and spin trance, so usually commercial albums don't do much for me. I tell you one thing this album was put to together really well.

The mix was impressive. Dave put together a well balance compilation that has everything. For all of you anthem lovers out there he put so impressive mixes such as

-(Anomaly (calling your name) (Pronti & Kalmani remix) - Libra & Taylor
-On the move (Riva remix) - Bartezz
-Light a rainbow (Whippenberg remix) - Tukan

Now the trance that I like, that brings me back to the days when I first heard it, is the trance that's the hardest to create and to find. He has mixed some of the very tracks that stir those feeling of my early raving days.

-Das glockenspiel (Schill out mix) - Schiller
-Sex after dinner - Virtua Trancer
-Tokyo - Gibbs, Steve

Every track on this comp is good. I have had this CD in my car now for a month and it always seems to find its way back into my CD player.
I have hundreds of records and CD's. CD wise this is definitely up there in my top 5 favorites, and that's surprising being a mainstream CD such as this. If your wondering why so many people have given it 5 stars its because it is that good.
I would defiantly recommend this album as a must buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Super!, 30 Dec 2001
By A Customer
I wasn't initially going to buy this album. However, a friend of mine who knows his stuff recommended it.

I figured it was going to be like the last Euphoria (Ibiza, mixed by Dave Pearce) which I found to have a few good tunes, and many not so good, CD1 in my opinion was the best, and CD2 fell behind that quite a lot. With 'Total' Euphoria I couldn't be more wrong. This is full of top tunes all the way through. I was happy to see "Libra Pres. Taylor Anomaly - Calling Your Name" on the CD which is a classic. Other tracks include "Accadia - Into The Dawn [Accadia Club Mix]" and many many more.

If you are not sure whether to buy this or not, take my word for it, and buy it now! It's full of top tunes and pretty good mixing. OK, so not quite to the standard of Moose PF Project, Matt Darey, Red Jerry, John '00' Fleming, Agnelli & Nelson and the like, but it works well on this album. Nice one Dave!

Go buy it today. You won't be dissapointed!

4.0 out of 5 stars totally euphoric, 20 May 2004
The two cds comprise some of the most uplifting trance tracks of 2000 and 2001. I think the best cd is cd1 because there are better tunes. Both cds begin really well but tend to drop off in the middle, especially cd2.

There's some big tunes on here, such as Libra's Anamoly - Calling Your Name, Ian Van Dahl's Will I, PPK's ResuRection, Minimalistix's Close Cover, and Bartezz's On the Move. But we're spared trash from Flip 'n' Fill, Scooter, or Kelly Llorena, like you find on MOS albums.

I don't like hard trance much, so my least favourites are Steve Lee's Bumper, BK and Nick Sentience's Flash, and Warp Brothers' Blast the Speakers. Thankfully, there's not much hard trance on this album.

Other tracks are a bit boring or don't go anywhere, such as Virtua Trancer's Sex After Dinner. But there are quite a few killer tracks which more than make up for it.

Just some of my faves are: cd1 - Evolution's Walking on Fire, Accadia's Into the Dawn (my namesake!), Ian Van Dahl's Will I (Lange Remix), Dreamwaver's Liquid:MM, PPK's ResuRection (everyone's favourite!); cd2 - Minimalistix's Close Cover (another popular one), Mirco de Govia's Epic Monolith, Cortina's Music is Moving (strong vocal, quite retro), Lange's Drifting Away, and Agnelli and Nelson's Everday... (excellent end to the album).

I got Total Euphoria because of the positive reviews on this page and I wasn't disappointed. You probably won't like all the tracks, but you'll love a lot of them.
