This is a fine fine album from one of the UK's most overlooked bands. A potent brew of Sabbath meets Motörhead meets ZZ Top and Skynyrd - heavy rock rarely sounds this good these days. Tracks such as Save Me From Myself, The Fog, and the ridiculously heavy Death Of Aquarius are standouts, but there are no fillers here.
Great songs and a top notch production round things off. And a special mention for guitarist Joe Hoare - a wonderful player who never gets the recognition he deserves. Same goes for the rest of the band. Great musicians and an awesome live band. Their gigs are tremendous.
Buy this, turn it up to 11 and be glad that this fine British institution is still going strong.

Five years on from Goblin's last album and its like they've never been gone. Goblin are a live band, they play songs that make you pogo like a nutter whilst swilling Jagermeister. Their music is a blend of finely honed stoner, metal, southern groove & straight up rawk and 'Eulogy for The Damned' is no different. It's a little more polished than usual and has a slightly classic rock feel to it which still works really because nearly all the songs are memorable. After several spins, the only one that doesn't really stick is 'The Filthy & The Few' and even thats not bad. Opener 'Red Tide Rising' has a whiff of mastodon, 'Acid Trial', 'Stand For Something' & 'The Fog' are instant classic's and 'Save Me From Myself' is like a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd & clutch. Yes - that awesome.

I've seen 'em live a couple of times now and they always bring the goods and I can't wait to hear some of these on the upcoming tour in April. Welcome back boys, it's been a while. Altogether now 'Goblin, Goblin....'

Edit: 29/02/2012 - This is Goblins best album imo hands down.

All the reviews sum it up. Looking for something new or different and want to take a gamble ? then buy this. You will not be disappointed. The music is a cross over of Metallica like riffs with the best of British - notably Sabbath and Motörhead. Now I have started buying their back catalogue and they are equally impressive. I saw them play in Feb 2013 in Southampton, and they damn good; a proper live rock band. Go on check them out if you dare.....

There is not a bad track on this album, good old fashioned fast n loud, heavy rock. Been playing it for months, still nowhere near bored.

Orange Goblin are one of the best metal bands to come from UK in recent times, I love this album, great sounds and great lyrics from a great bunch of guys who are passionate at what they do and work very hard. I wish them every success onwards and upwards!!
