I've been a fan of the redwall books for many years and I've found that they've just kept getting better and better and this once is no exception. I don't want to give anything away about the story but it is truly wonderful and fun with loveable (and dislikeable characters if you include the villains) characters. Also its got those jolly songs that come with all redwall books and on the whole it is a true classic. A must buy for fans of the series and a must buy for anyone who enjoys this genre.
Also since I bought the kindle version I feel like I must review that too. It is amazing on the kindle, with none of the errors that many books that have been transferred onto the kindle seem to or at least apparently have. Even the beautiful illustrations from the book are transferred wonderfully so they are just as pleasant to look at on the kindle as they are in the original book.
A 5 star product!

When I bought this book I just did not know what to expect. I have read all the previous books and just wondered what could be left to write about. Yet I realise now that I was wrong to doubt Brian Jacques' skill and ingenuity.
This book contained the usual elements of mortal danger, vermin and heroes. Yet somehow Jacques managed to make this even better than his previous tales of Redwall - an unbelieveable feat! It seemed as if Jacques has honed his skills and created a true master-piece. It is a book you just cannot put down. I would recommend that when you start reading this book that you have a lot of time - otherwise you will be up at 1am reading this as I did.
To put it simply this is like the other Redwall books, in the fact that anyone and everyone can pick it up, read it and love it. Yet somehow Jacques has made this book even more brilliant. Honestly, if you don't buy this book you are missing out!

I read most of brian jacques books when i was younger & picked one up again recently. I've since read the whole range again & this one was no disappointment. Excellent as always.
