I recieved this product within about 3 days or so of ordering it, it came in a standard amazon box and then original box of the item inside that. The original box was slightly scruffy and had a small hole in the side of it -not a massive deal but for people giving it as a gift, it's probably worth re-packaging.
In terms of the actual set, it was reasonably organised inside the box and so far there is no obvious physical damage to the mugs or the mug tree. 2 of the mugs were completely clean inside, one had a tiny bit of dirt and one a reasonable amount, which i'm sure is just down to a collection of dust but still not what you expect from buying a NEW product. There were a few bits of extra bits of clay/porcelain whatever is used to make the mug on the bottoms of a few of them, just small bits which isn't a problem really but if you're really concerned about the all round appearance you might want to consider that.
Otherwise all in all, the designs on the mugs had their full colour and seemed to be in perfect condition and the mug tree also looked untouched. The only real let down about this product was the packaging and the dirt in a few of the mugs which is why I've only given it 3 stars. But overall it seems like a reasonably good product but I must state I have NOT used the mugs yet as they are a present for someone but they look as though they'll work perfectly.
If you want a reasonably cheap set of mugs this is the one to go for but in terms of packaging and cleanliness etc - you get what you pay for i.e. not much aswell as the quality of the mugs i.e. the bits on the bottom of the mugs which is probably down to carelessness or lack of knowledge but otherwise it's okay, not a 5 star product by any means but somewhere between 3 or 4. I bought it at the price of £5 and probably wouldn't pay much more for it.
