Nice Kettle, just disappointed that the listing said it was 3L, where-as when it came the box said 2.8L and of course you can't hope to boil a full kettle without the water coming out everywhere, so in fact it is less than a 2L which was not what I wanted at all.
That said, it is a very solid Kettle, and the handle doesn't get too hot to handle (pun intended!). Easy to keep shiny and nice looking, but the lid is very hard to remove for filling. Not a problem if you're not worried about how much water you need, just fill through the spout. But as I wanted to boil at the very least 2 litres worth, I have to yank off the lid to gauge the maximum high I dare go to get that much water without excess spilling over the stove.
Also the whistle is not pleasant sounding, not the warm nostalgic song I was hoping for when I reminisce days gone by, which is also a disappointment.
