Having been to Ethiopia for the touristy bit and about to return to work there, I found this map has sufficient detail and information to deal with both types of usage. The Legend is detailed with topography and annual precipitation shown. There's a street map of Addis Adaba, notes on towns and other features of interest: Gambela and its National Park, the ancient rock churches of Lalibela and the history of coffee as well as a brief background on the social and economic geography of Ethiopia. Comprehensive, detailed and user friendly. I recommend.

Ethiopia Map

The Ethiopia Map is more than a map of intersecting lines to get from place to place. This map has snippets of information around the perimeter which give you not only a good grounding of the physical features of Ethiopia and the must see sights but there are points of history as well. The information is enlightening and intriguing enough to make you want to get an immediate booking to see these sights. There are practical tips as well about roads and routes to keep the would be traveller forewarned. I would recommend this map not only to those thinking of a journey to Ethiopia but to the curious of this part of Arfica.

Difficult to read, easy to destroy

The map is in the standard scale(for Ethiopia). However it is rather focused on entertainment and tourist friendly then traveler friendly. Poor quality of paper makes it much to easy to be destroyed
