Although it states this is a novella but boy it is really short 30 minutes and your done! It felt like I was reading a couple of chapters from a book, and in my opinion thats where it should have been put it did not really work as a stand alone story for me.Andrea Cole and Kaden Quinn are in a relationship both are slayers for the agis an organisation against demons. kaden has been missing for two weeks eventually the slayers believe they have located him. He has been kidnapped and tortured by a group of vampires, upon finding him in a cell Andrea is trapped in the cell with Kaden by Cedric the vampire group leader, as Kaden has been turned into a vampire the question is will he kill his woman. This is not a complete story as such because they are already a couple what we get is a small snapshot. Unless you have read the Demonica series this novella is going to be pretty meaningless.

Kaden and Andrea are both Aegis Guardians and have spent their lives hunting and killing demons. When Kaden is captured by vampires Andrea is determined to find him but when she does her worst fears are confirmed when she realises he has been turned into a vampire. Knowing what he has become it is Andrea's job to kill Kaden before he can hurt an innocent but can she bring herself to stake the love of her life?

I'm a massive fan of Larissa Ione's Demonica series so it was no surprise to me that I really enjoyed Eternity Embraced. Although I would have loved a longer story it was still nice to revisit the Demonica world and get to meet Kaden and Andrea. This is a well written and fast paced short story and includes some fab sexy scenes as anyone familiar with the series would expect. Eternity Embraced is a great way to test the waters and decide if you'd like to try the rest of the series (which I would highly recommend as it is one of my favourite paranormal romance series!) and it is a must read for Demonica fans.

This novella is an excellent way to introduce two new characters to the Demonica series, Andrea a determined slayer and Kenan, a devoted slayer who has recently turned vampire. This is their brief story of how their fight to stay together and combat to slay all vampires brings them to seek refuge in New York where rumours of half human Guardians and a demon hospital exist. To their relief the rumours are true and are soon welcomed into the fold and start to live the life they have longed for, together.

Ms. Ione has written this novella in such a way that you don't have to read the rest of the series to understand what this story is about and even though it is only 38 pages long, it doesn't take long for the reader to like the characters and even care about their outcome.
