WISC-IV essentials 31 May 2010
By ruta
Format:Paperback
This book provides a detailed account of how to administer, score, interpret and write up a WISC report in a user friendly way. I have found it very useful as it gives more information than the WISC interpretive manual does, especially if an index is not interpretable. The CD is beneficial as a way to check that you have scored the assessment correctly, however I found that the appendix that are provided on the CD might have been more useful in the book as I am not always near a computer when scoring/interpreting. Have ended up printing them out and storing them in the book. Other than this a highly recommended book!

Outstanding contribution; must for Wechsler users 6 Jan 2005
By Corey James - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This is a terrific book -- it provides a lot of information on how to administer and score the WISC-IV. It has the same innovative approaches Kaufman has used in previous books on earlier Wechsler tests -- new ideas on interpretation and scoring that make sense. With the added viewpoint provided by Flanagan, a specialist in the cross-battery assessment, this book is a merging of two interesting approaches; unique project by two top psychologists in their prime.

Straightforward and easy to use, but lacked on the interpretation details 17 May 2007
By A. Nguyen - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm a fan of these sorts of texts having found the Essentials of the WAIS-III a great resource I keep returning too. I imagine it will be the same with this text as I found it really easy to use and easy to read. Perhaps my only complaint is that there is little discussion about interpretation. Otherwise a great resource in scoring up your WISC-IV.
