Excellent, on-point and research proven material. This does away witht he myths and hype around nutrition and links it directly the the research, rather than a branded product which tries to sell you a product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good read, worth the money 21 Aug 2010
By Steven J. Epps - Published on Amazon.com
This book is well laid out, cites study after study and disputes the claims of many nutritional (Along with other) "experts" with hard studies. Offers a pretty good synopsis of popular workout supplements along with the pitfalls and benefits of taking them. Well worth the money and a read.

By Junho Kwon - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This is a comprehensive textbook of sports nutrition and supplementation written by a lot of big names in the sports nutrition field like Antonio and Stout, along with other leading exercise physiologists and nutritionists. The authors challenge a lot of the current nutritional recommendations made by mainstream RD's and nutritionists. It should definetly be kept for reference by trainers, nutritionists, and exercise science and nutrition students.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is not the book being offered for Kindle! 23 Mar 2011
By Jerod - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Long story short, the "kindle version", as of when I purchased it, is not the actual textbook, it is only a study guide. Since they don't seem to have the actual textbook for kindle, this will do you no good unless you already have the hardcover copy of the text. The study guide is essentially a long list of test questions and exercises to help you study, but actually offers no real information.
