If you want something simple to back up your computer's contents don't touch this with a bargepole. It's complex, whatever the makers claim, and full of gobbledegook.
It saves data as 'images' not as files/folders and working out what you're backing up and where it's going is a nightmare.
It should be so easy: What do you want to back up? Where do you want to put it? What's it called?
Instead, there are 'clones', 'differential back-ups', 'full back-ups', 'logical disks' . . . And half the time is doesn't work.
The whole thing is a mystery to this tech-savvy graduate.

I purchased this and used it as a regular backup to an external hard drive for my XP computer. When this had problems, I tried to restore to a new Windows 7 64-bit PC. NO WAY - it doesn't work with W7, and the backup is in a proprietory file format which it's impossible to open! I emailed Avanquest technical help (difficult to find, had to phone to track this down...found that it's not Avanquest themselves, as this is just a reissue of a old version of another program from a different supplier!). They were not interested, just replied that "Windows 7 is not supported".
Total waste of money, time and effort, not "fit for purpose". Please save yourself frustration, there are plenty of other simple reliable ways to backup.
