Product Description

Review

This equipment book is well written with excellent illustrations and high production values. The design is most suitable for those preparing for examinations and for trainers alike. The authors offer a consistent style that minimizes repetition, while highlighting key points. This latest edition keeps pace with medical innovation in anaesthesiology and should prove a popular text.

D. Conway, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Manchester, UK, European Journal of Anaesthesiology 2008, 25: 86-87

This well written and excellently illustrated equipment book is a welcome addition to find its way into the broad and often confusing armamentarium of modern anesthesiologists. The authors have to be congratulated with undertaking such a needed venture as this book which will enhance safety and successful administration of anesthesia.

Essentials of Anaesthetic Equipment will be warmly welcomed by trainees and teachers alike as it is easy to read, very well illustrated and as a clear and accurate guide to successful techniques.

Acta Anæsthesiologica Belgica, 2008, 59, No 1

BMA Book Awards 2008 - Highly Commended

"This is an excellent addition to the books in this area: it's easy-to-read with clear diagrams and pictures that reinforce the text to great effect."

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear layout, essential exam text 6 Feb 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I found this book very easy to read.It has an easy to follow layout with 'components, mechanism of action & problems' sections for each item or group of equipment, followed by a highlighted summary section. It also has MCQ's at the end of each chapter to see if you were concentrating! A must for the primary FRCA

5.0 out of 5 stars THE book for anaesthetic equipment 27 Mar 2008
By Y. Li
Format:Paperback
This book was purchased following recommendations by AnaesthesiaUK and colleagues. It has proved to be invaluable during the beginning of my anaesthetic career and for the primary examination.

The text and illustrations provide clear and concise information while the MCQ's at the end of each chapter have enabled a means of accessing ones learning.
Overall, this book provides all that is necessary for understanding anaesthetic equipment and also importantly for passing exams!!

I recommend this book highly!
