After watching the brilliant BBC 2 series that accompanys this book I went online and immediately bought it. As the title suggest it is an essential. There is a poem for every mood of love, from first falling in love to losing love. This is an outstanding collection of poems by classic poets and modern day ones. There are serious ones and funny ones. The book is beautifully laid out so however you are feeling about love you can simply turn to that section and find a poem to suit your needs. Daisy Goodwin should be commended for compiling this collection and for the comments that she made in the book, including her own experiences of love.

To guide you through loves many hills and dalesthis little book is a must find words to help you back on the rails or revive your tiring lust... very inspirational handy sized book with plenty of words to take you where you want to be, and even some that could change your moods and take you somewhere you never thought!!

This is the third book I have in Daisy Goodwins' series of essential poems and it's just as inviting as all the rest. The books themselves are very appealing in their small, square, hardback format. The Introductions are the most essential reading of all giving context and originality to the somewhat lost art of poetry reading.
