The author discusses in the Introduction the importance of essential oils, and several types of herbs used to relieve many ill symptoms. Natural herbal elements are highlighted, along with essential oils used as alternative medicines. The Signs & Symptoms of being confused, lack of focus, forgetfulness, and migraine is also discussed.

The history of essential oils and their uses are also highlighted, how they are used, how they are applied, and the effects of producing fast results. In addition, Harper Evans discusses inhalation of essential oils, mental clarity, and healing effects on the body. These oils help to produce calmness, relieve anxiety, and reduce fatigue. These oils will revitalize the body towards alertness, happiness, act as a detox, and help immunity. Many examples of Essential Oils and Carrier Oils are given, including what they are used for.

Some Carrier Oils are Coconut, Sweet Almond, and Sesame Oil. I speak as someone who has had depression all her adult life. Aromatherapy won't do anything for major depression. But it can very temporarily boost your mood or make you feel more alert until you get used to the scent. And people should NEVER ingest essential oils. Many of them are toxic. Your experience with aromatherapy may vary from mine. Lavender does help me sleep and I use it on occasion in a room spray. But geranium oil, supposedly a mood booster, just smells like gasoline to me. Bergamot and blood orange smells awesome, but I don't think it works any medical miracles.
The possibility of allergic reactions asise, there is absolutely no harm in trying the advice in this book, as long as you don't eat or drink the stuff. But don't believe all the claims made in it. For minor stress aromatherapy may help but if you are depressed for more than two weeks, see your physician, not your massage therapist.

There are many books out there on this topic most are adamant about not ingesting oils. Concerns about organ damage from buildup in your system to unscrupulous vendors mislabeling oils to make more profit. This book didn't give much warning about this serious topic. This is a good book for some recipes but is grammatically hard to read.

I'm glad that I borrowed this book instead of buying it. It didn't contain any information that couldn't have been found in a google search.
Did the author receive compensation from doterra ? Why promote one product when there are other suppliers of quality pure oil?

This book is only good i you want to buy at least 12 oils that are not used a lot. They are expensive. Also a "Essential Oil Co." is named,link there. They were very over priced. Very disappointed.
