It was really quite a challenge to condense everything I love about Lanzarote into such a compact size! I have included all the main sights and tried to convey something of the remarkable character of the place, as well as recommending some of the hotels and restaurants I especially liked. Obviously the book is mainly about Lanzarote, which has so much to see and is so culturally and historically interesting. I have also included some briefer information on neighbouring Fuerteventura, which (though a larger island!) is sparser, emptier, with few resorts or sights - though it's well worth making the short, enjoyable ferry trip over to Fuerteventura for an excursion from Lanzarote.

This guide has been written as if the two islands are one. Most of the information is bundled together instead of split into different sections for each island. The guide would certainly be easier to use if each island were given its own chapter. There is also much more information for Lanzarote, with Fuerteventura being left out altogether in some cases. Surely there is enough to write about these two beautiful and interesting islands to warrant two books? I'm not happy with my purchase.

One of the best guides available. It is very user friendly with easy to use codes which covers just about everything you may need to know. Descriptions of places and attractions is brief but to the point, the only thing which could be improved would be the map as it not very accurate for driving purposes. Overall excellent guide with general information to interest all.

Handy and informative with sufficient detail for most of the island's more significant noteworthy items. Probably the best of the bunch amongst only a few guides that are available.
