For those not familiar with this composer, this is an amazing introduction. Handel is far more accessible than Bach, perhaps. I have enjoyed listening to all the sections, and, whilst I prefer the Water Music and Fireworks suites played on original instruments, I have found nothing to really gripe about. Any favourite pieces can always be updated at a later date, with more accomplished recordings, when time and inclination take hold!

Listen and enjoy.

All in all - highly recommended.

The quality and range of Handel's music on this album is amazing especially at this price! To have the Recorder Sonata in C major [an absolute delight], Oboe Concerto and the Trumpet and Organ Suite as well as all the well known Handel favourites gives the opportunity to discover wonderful music previously unknown to me as well as being able to listen to fine recordings,sometimes by less well known orchestras [like Japan Philharmonic], of much more familiar classics. I have also downloaded the Essential Classical Music and Vivaldi albums which I am equally pleased with.Thank you Amazon!
