If you are new to mould making (yes I use the British spelling because I am in the UK) then you will find this book to be invaluable.
Although dealing mainly with simple one and two piece moulds, the techniques employed by the author are such that you will be amazed at what you can produce. The author tells you just what you need to know, no more, no less, and the book is filled with step by step illustrations to guide you.
If you are looking to create moulds for casting intricate forms like figurines then this book is probably not for you. However, if you are just starting out in mould making you will find this an invaluable source of reference, and the authour's unique 'template' system will soon have you creating your own slip moulds for items you never thought would be possible.

The first time I saw this book, I thougth it was related to flexible mouldmaking with silicon rubber, latex, etc. Then, when I received it, I saw that I was wrong about it but I had a great surprise. It is a very good book about hard plaster molds used in pottery and also on sculpture. It "talks" also about rubber molds but main issue is the hard mold technic that I often wanted to learn as a sculpture technician. I recomend it, for sure.
