This review is from: The Essential Guide to Learning Martial Arts (Paperback)
I'm actually a student of student of martial arts, and my teacher (Sifu) is Carols brother Mark Strange. This book I discovered through reading it, it very useful for any novice martial artist. It teaches you that in order to be come the best your trainer must be the best, and also that it just doesn't work, finding the school that's at the village hall. It also tells you what to do when it's time for you to be graded a belt or sash. It also covers the area of first time nerves when you first start martial arts. It also has a list of some the most common styles and discaplines you can learn. I also tells you the principle of why you learn Martial Arts and also the reasons for why you are doing it. In all honesty if you are a begginner of martial arts then I really would recommend this book for any one wanting to do martial arts. Weather they are 15 or 50. This book is great for the novie, no matter what their age.
