I bought this book in Phoenix last year whilst on holiday - I am a cake decorator and thought this was one of the best cake decorating books I'd seen. In fact, I liked it so much that I took it on as handluggage to pour over on my flight back to Heathrow. Heaps of photos, loads of great designs and a wealth of information on technique eg. sugar flowers, working with royal icing, brush embroidery, modelling. A host of good, close-up photos with some absolutely, stunning cake designs - I've got all the up-to-date books such as Mich Turner's Spectacular Cakes and both Peggy Porschen's books but this is a fabulous reference book with around 180 pages of cakes and around 100 pages on technique. Well worth buying.

Fabulous book, which leads you though the various steps of cake decoration, covering beginners to experts. Beautifully illustrated with extremely tempting and innovative ideas and cakes. Enough to put the kilos on, just reading it!!!

Good general guide to cake decorating. Good to get you started. Well illustrated with easy to understand guides. It does bear some resemblance to other publications of this type, but useful nevertheless. Use it as a starting point but you may need other specialist books for some items, such as sugar flowers.
