Product Description

Review

Their [Dale Banham and Chris Culpin] techniques shine through in the text to allow students a more engaging set of pathways into GCSE success. Student activities are set with a view to student enjoyment, but with an eye on retaining academic vigour...this is a very welcome addition to the crowded 'Germany 1918-45' bookcase.

This book is excellent. The previous reviewer has confused the school policy and this book. Bad policy, great book. It is clear and has sections on exam questions and technique. It is better for AQA, I have found, and the content is more suited to that than OCR. However, as a History teacher, I still use this book and find it relevant and useful. Culpin at the end of the day was an examiner himself so he knows his onions and the conciseness of this volume ensures it is well used by A grade to G grade candidates.

Purchased for year 10 history. Content versus price does not equate. The school said my son would be at a disadvantage along with other pupils who did not purchase or obtain this book. If it was part of the curriculum why has it not been subsidised.
