Product Description

Review

"Throughout the book there are many excellent diagrams and charts. The book is also very well illustrated with colour photographs to explain and expound the given subject. The collation of these photographs must have been in itself a mammoth task." (Rob Jerrard, May 2010)

"If it is entomology you are interested in, this is the book for you." (Australian Biochemist, April 2010)

"Gunn presents an introductory textbook on the application of biological science in legal investigations." (Book News, September 2009)

The Naturalist, 2007

"...naturalists and biologists will find much of interest within these books...new light on the application of their own specialism..."

A lifesaver! 17 Mar 2008

This book is absolutly brilliant - each chapter is presented well, and written so that anybody reading it can easily understand the contents. The pictures relate well to the contents also...some are not for the faint hearted!

Overall, this book is a definate must have for any undergraduate Forensics student - I cannot recommend it enough.

This text book is an essential for those doing any kind of biological forensic study. One critisism is that it isn't as detailed on biological principles as one would have hoped.

I am finding this book extremely informative and it is infact, the same book that many of the information on my forensic science course at university, is retrieved from. There are some explicit photos of crimes that have been committed, aswell as autopsy photos and the book deals with many aspects of forensic's very well. I definately recommend this book to anyone currently learning forensic science, but also to people that just have an interest in reading about current techniques in solving crime.
