This collection was uncharted territory for me - not a period of Strange that I was familier with, but I'd wholeheartedly recommend it. The Essential range is a brilliant and cheap way of reading old Marvel classics but I wasn't aware of any classics among this particular collection of Dr Strange tales and maybe there aren't any single issues that would qualify but there is an ongoing arc concerning the good Doc's relationship with Clea which is nicely engaging. The art varies and contains towards the end a couple of curious early Paul Smith (X-Men)examples which are beautiful - I didn't know he'd ever drawn Strange.Buy this colection - even if you think that you've seen Dr Strange's 'best days'- you will be glad you did!

Essentially a large collection of Dr. Strange, marred only by the fact they were all Black and white.
I seriously can't remember if the originals were that way but it surely hindered my enjoyment.
Now if Amazon had stated that in their description I may have thought twice about it.
When all said and done, if you like vintage monochrome Dr.Strange you won't go too wrong with this collection.
