I got this book by mistake. Well, I ordered it from the library instead of Simple Crochet by the same author. I can understand why this book is getting mixed reviews. Yes, it is filled with errors (I reckon it's been 'translated' from American) and the photo's, whilst inspiring, don't help very much because they're too off-the-wall and obscure, but it's full of nice projects. Ms Knight doesn't always make it clear what she means - for example she assumes you'll figure out by yourself how to work subsequent rows of solomon's knot. The patchwork blanket is delightful, but I don't understand why it isn't joined on the last round instead of stitched together. That said, it's worth a look for the inspirational pieces she's made. Get it from the library first, though, instead of forking out. Oh, and don't let her catch you making anything in the book for money - the patterns are heavily copyrighted.
