3.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the money - Don't even waste your time!! , 1 Aug 2006
By S V BAUDAINS "Sue" (Channel Islands) - See all my reviews

I would change the star rating to one if I could but unfortunately it won't let me. After the original problem with the number 4 occasionally not working, I took it back and got a new set. They both started off well but now, on one of the handsets, the 0 doesn't work - you have to press it 5 or 6 times and really hard for it to work! Unlike the other reviewer my phone still looks good - but that and the answerphone are the only bits that make it deserve the one star I'd like to change this review to! I can't believe I wasted £130 on this (I see the price has come down, no doubt to account for the fact it's a load of rubbish!)
DO NOT BUY THIS!

Original review:
I recently purchased the twin phones. Whilst it is a lovely looking phone with some great functions, you should be aware that is has the following faults:

Stand-by & talk-time are quite short - you're probably best to leave the phone on charge rather then leaving it lying around the house like I used to

Missed calls - whilst it is great to be able to see these, once you delete it from one handset, it still shows on the other.

On the plus side - you can listen to your answerphone messages through either of the handsets rather than through the base unit.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 20 Dec 2006
By A. Hitt (London, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
We have had this phone for around six months and are now too frustrated to stick with it. It looks very nice and has similar features to a mobile i.e. text, colour screen etc. However, the battery power is really insufficient and the phone does need to be on the base unit to charge every day. Sometimes the battery power indicator shows almost full and yet it isn't and the phone unexpectedly switches off as the battery is in fact flat. The handset already looks very worn with the BT logo having lost it's silver paint and the number 4 only works if you press it very hard. Believe it or not we are not a high user family of the home phone and all have mobiles which we make most of our calls from and we really feel that this phone is disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars Started well, ended up disappointed, 26 Jul 2007
By S. Mutchell (Lancashire, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Purchased this Esprit Twin in March 07, phone looks nice but that's the plus points done with. The phone takes seems ages to be able to re-dial a number say that was engaged. Unable to transfer programed number on one phone to the other, which I find frustrating as my last BT phones had this facility and they were purchased some 5yrs ago. To top it all off one of the handsets handsfree speakers has given up the ghost and speach cuts off all the time. BAD choice by me, you live and learn.
