I have to say I bought this after much looking around at other watch boxes on sale both here and other stores and looking at some other reviews/experiences I would say I got a pretty good deal. First of all that 60 odd pound reduction is about as believable as those watches you see that are 1000 pounds reduced to 200 pounds, this item is simply not worth 80 pounds its worth about the price its selling at. Secondly for the amount of watches that it can store its probably the best value around.
The case is faux leather (Nothing especially wrong with that I have seen faux leather boxes for a lot more than this)The display however is like a plastic material not glass. Plus for that is there is no chance of your watch getting damaged if you close it. The actual cushions are the hard variety so there is little room for maneuvering for example if you have a clasp watch that wont fold over the cushion, also ladies watches are too small to fit right over or tuck in. All my watches have fitted ok in this box even the larger ones there is plenty of room at the top of the box for the face and there is a little room to maneuver from the sides.
All in all this is a very basic watch box and I use it to store old watches that no longer have boxes. If you are looking for something to store your 3 grand rolex well then I would have to ask why you are bothering to shop around, spend the cash on something decent! Looking at the experience of some buyers who have spent 40-60 pounds on boxes that only house 5 or 6 and finding they don't fit or are of poor quality or cheap wood I would say I have got a bit of a bargain.
I have not come across cheaper than this for a watch box so if you are looking for somewhere to store your watches to prevent them getting scratched or damaged (Thought that was the whole point of these things anyway!) Then you really cant go wrong with this.
