5.0 out of 5 stars Should be a modern classic 2 Dec 2010
By Amitri
Format:Paperback
There are many excellent reviews of this book, which helped me make a decision when I was looking for new literature to explore. I was not disappointed! This is a fabulous example of fantasy writing and I was even more astounded when I discovered it was a debut novel. Writing and imagination such as this deserves to be in the best sellers list, as it has been written with thought and care....unlike the usual pulp from so called celebrities chasing the dollar. Buy this and enter a whole new world.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book. 19 April 2010
Format:Paperback
I bought this book a while ago from the author because I needed new reading material, and it was well worth the money I spent for it.

Escaping Dreams is set in Orenia. The main characters, Beth and Xanther, meet by chance. Neither are what they seem, but they are both connected by their love.

Beth is being hunted down by the Chaka. At first she tries to run away, but then she decides to face them, and destroy them once and for all.

Xanther, having only recently met Beth has to become as well accustomed to Beth and her world as he can before both their worlds could be ripped to shreds.

This is a brilliant novel from an author I would definitely read again. My only criticism for this book is that it had to end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great debut novel 20 Dec 2008
Format:Paperback
An excellent sci-fi read and brilliant debut novel. The author really does have an excellent turn of phrase to describe the dark world she has created.

Am looking forward to seeing what comes next from Orenia.

As another reviewer has already pointed out, this is the sort of story that Hollywood should be turning into films, as opposed to some of the one-dimensional dross they are putting out.

Would highly recommend.
