Biography

Funeral For A Friend is one of the last remaining bastions of the British hardcore scene that exploded into the mainstream at the turn of the century. Bursting out of Bridgend, South Wales, in 2001, Funeral For A Friend were hailed as the saviours of rock music from a young age and given the task of re-energising a scene in desperate need of fresh blood. They are veterans, in many ways, but ... Read more in Amazon's Funeral for a Friend Store

Most Helpful Customer Reviews

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Sue J on 2 Feb. 2004
Format: Audio CD
The A-side to this single is one of the best songs off the album and is a great song with a fast but melodic riff and good lyrics to boot. However, the B-side (You Want Romance) is far superior. The vocals are unharmonised and raw like they were on the early E.P.'s and there is a lot more of Matt Davies' awesome screaming - but it still keeps their trademarked emotional vocals aswell (which sound even better when unharmonised). In all this song shows a return to form after their debut album which, while good, was over-produced and had a few filler tracks on. If you already have the album - Get this for the b-side, if you want to check out FFAF, this is a great place to start as it shows you what the album is like and what their earlier e.p.'s were like

This single has the great song, Escape Artist Never Die, off their first full debut album.
With two great B-sides, You Want Romance? and 10 Points To the Winner, this single is a MUST for any fan.
To top off a great single, there are even two great videos! What more could you want from you favourite band!
