Product Description

Product Description

Eric Morecambe made his final television appearance in this comedy short with Tom Baker and Madeline Smith (no sign of Ernie Wise, though). The tale follows the medieval quest by the lusty young knight, Sir Tom, to get his hands on the charms of a fair damsel. He comes up against the local baron, Lord Eric, who also has a fond eye for the ladies.

From the Back Cover

This delightful comedy filmed in colour is the last programme ever made with Eric Morecambe and could be described as his 'final frolic'.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Passionate Pilgrim 2 Dec 2011
Very funny - Eric Morecambe at his daftest, well backed up by the other members of the cast. One felt that Ernie Wise ought to suddenly appear from the castle
to complete the line-up. A good last memory to have of one of the funniest men of our generation.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Passionate Pilgrim 4 Oct 2001
By A Customer
A reasonable outing into farce for Tom Baker(The Knight), Eric Morecombe(The Squire) & the every beautiful Madeline Smith(The Maiden). It has many of the elements that make The Plank & several other 'Silent Films' from the mid sixties such hits.
Tom Bakers attempts to come to grips with Ms Smiths charms are forever being thwarted by by her father; Eric Morecombe.
There are many sight gags; watch for fly-spray gag.
This is a charming piece of farce with quite a few chuckles, but sadly no real belly laughs
