Quite some book. 15 Oct 2006
By Alan Burridge TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Paperback
Skims over the early history from birth, to college, to joining the Yardbirds in one page, but from there on, (and in fairness, gigs by the Roosters and Casey Jones and the Engineers can't be easy to find), it gets right into it. Going through the years from the Yardbirds in 1963 to Eric receiving Grammy's in 1993, every gig is listed, (including Derek and the Dominoes at Bournemouth's Pavilion on 18th March, 1970, which I attended, but it was good to be reminded of the date), every album, with accompanying dialog covering what was going on at the time in the life of EC. Also loads of excellent photos, many in black and white, but quite a lot in colour, with copious repros of memorabilia, this is an excellent source of reference and obviously painstakingly researched.
