Format:DVD
From the spine tingling intro to the final note of Sometimes, this concert remains the pinnacle moment of 2005. Andy's voice is on top form, ably assisted by the keyboard and guitar skills of Erasure bandmate Vince and backing singers Ann-Marie and Valerie. All the hits are catered for (Oh L'amour, Love To Hate You, A Little Respect) as well as the great new material from Nightbird including the smash hit #4 hit Breathe. The stage set is equally superb and the costumes show that Andy has lost none of his creativeness, especially when he bursts on stage during Blue Savannah wearing glittery gold pants and two pink feather boas. One of the highlights remains Vince's superbly hilarious rap to a atmospheric cover of Blondie's Rapture. Having also seen Kylie's Showgirl 2005 tour, I can easily say this this one and a half hour show is more extravagant, faster paced and more theatrical. The extra features are equally brilliant also! BUY IT!

I waa excited about getting this dvd since other erasure fans had said how good it was however I have to say I was very dissapointed.
I felt the band seemed bored going over the same usual setlist chorus,ship of fools,a little respect,sometimes,oh l'amour,love to hate you.
There were some new songs breathe,rapture(which features vince rapping into a telephone) & all this time still falling out of love and a welcome rendition of ave maria but mostly it was the same old songs we've heard a thousand times.
The band themselves looked tired as if they couldn't wait to get the show over and done with the stage was also too small especially for andy who likes to dance around a lot andy himself sounded vocally ok though struggled with the high notes on some songs.
Andy also spoke to the audience in german only which is why I question why there couldn't have been two releases one for the european audience one for uk maybe? because of this fact as a viewer I felt unable to connect to the band.
Also why did they choose to play no doubt & I broke it all in two yet no here I go impossible again.don't say your love is killing me or
sweet surrender the strongest tracks from nightbird I also found andy's high camp act hard to watch at times.
What was funny in the nineties is no longer funny now andy is not as natural a comedian as he thinks he is I still love the band and hope their next release is better than this if your just getting into erasure I would reccomend the tank the swan & the ballon which is their best ever.
And even live at the royal albert hall which is better than this sorry to say I was disasapointed this time round.

without doubt a must for erasure fans, all the greatest hits as I remembered them, excellent sound quality, only mistake I made was I was suprised when Andy Bell started speaking in german!!!!!and then I realised the concert was staged in Cologne

Worst Erasure DVD EVER! Andy looks like a retired, out of breath, sweaty back street pub/ karoake singer! Props remind of a high school musical, DVD quality that of an 80's porn

I love it!
A great dvd. Every time I watch it I re-live the fantastic atmosphere and brilliant music of and Erasure gig. I love it. There are also some interesting extras on the dvd. Read more
