Great buy 16 Aug 2006
Format:Paperback
I recently bought this book, I almost didn't because of the first review but I am very glad that I did. I am not a biologist, so I found this book that starts at the beginning with organelles in cells and their functions with loads of diagrams brilliant. It has helped me make sense of why things have happened to horse I have and do know. It's summary sections under the text make ultra handy reminders for learners (even ones aged 26!).

If you are looking for a light read - look else where - the book covers the chemical reactions in repiration and the make up of bones, but it does have clear chapters so you can dip in and dip out.

For some one who is wanting a sturdy introduction to equine science; you cannot go wrong with this book.

Could do with some more elaborated chapters. Useful for first years as it describes all the basics of Anatomy and Physiology.

Format:Paperback
Feel the previous review was a little unfair. This book I have found very useful as it helps to make sense of scientfic principles. Some times mistakes do get printed that are missed by the type setters. Very pleased with it.
