I wanted an all-in-one that would handle duplex printing, and selected this printer from Amazon's specification that stated "Automatic Duplexing: Yes (printing)". Complete hogwash! There is a manual duplex mode whereby you can print the first side of a document. You then have the privilege of taking the paper out of the output tray, turning it round, and then putting it back in the feeder. Well, bully for that - I'bve been able to do the same thing for the past 30 years. Automatic means that you don't have to touch the paper until the print is finished. It's available on HP printers, so why not Epson?
On the plus side, set up was free of hassle and took about 15 minutes on total. Printing text in letter mode black ink on all purpose plain paper was reasonable but certainly not crisp. A good design of unit allows it to sit flush against a wall. If it had been sold as a non-duplex unit I would probably have been happy, but as it is, it's going straight back.
