The printer was delivered as expected and was quickly unwrapped and set up for its first test. The set up process was simple and intuitive. I run Mac OSX Tiger and there were no complications. A sample print was run on the enclosed test paper (Epson Photo Glossy) with the appropriated colour profile and the results were stunning - first class. Subsequent tests with old paper where no profile exists were less successful but any where there is a profile (I tested Hannemuhle, Brilliant, and several others) produced excellent results. I have no hesitation in recommending this printer. I do not suggest anyone buys this printer for use with Snow Leopard or Windows 7 until they have verified that Epson have caught up with the necessary drivers. The issue is not unique to Epson, almost all printer manufacturers were left behind by these software releases and most appear only to have developed a "work around" rather than a fully developed new driver.
The Eye One calibrator/colorimeter appears accurate and is simplicity itself to operate.
