I bought these glasses specifically for use with my DJI Phantom 2 Vision Plus aircraft. I thought that a review of my experience so far might be helpful.

The glasses take about 5 hours to charge so it was late last night before I started the tedious and incredibly frustrating process of trying to set the glasses up. Typing in using the touchpad is painful to say the least. This, in my experience, is typical of Epson.... great ideas and quality technology appallingly badly executed.

Although the glasses use an older version of Android, there is no access to the Google store. This means that apps have to be side-loaded. The app of interest for me is the DJI Phantom App. Apparently this available on the Mover store but try as I might, I could not create an account. I kept getting a message telling me that my password was in the wrong format! I have STILL not resolved this problem.

Instead I found a brilliant page which will walk you through installation of the Phantom app. the link is as follows:

http://visual-aerials.com/bt-200-tips.html?m

However, before you can do anything you need to connect to your WIFI network and then set up your email address. As I said, be ready for a tedious and painful process that took an age because of just how bad it is to type using the touchpad.

I have now installed the app and it is all working great. I am sure that the glasses will be brilliant to fly with. I cannot comment on the use of these glasses for other applications. They have the feel of a work in progress rather than a finished product.

I would recommend them if you are a dedicated Phantom pilot but regard them as expensive. However, in my experience you will need to live with this as Epson are a greedy company (see my review of the Epson A2 photo printer!)

I bought these to go with my DJI Phantom Vision Plus. I was so excited about them, as they would have been the perfect companion for my Phantom. Product seemed very well made and the clarity on the screen was excellent. The only problem was I felt sick after using them for just a few minutes, and never even got past the stage of getting them to talk to my wifi network, which they just seemed to refuse to do, even tried them on two different wifi systems but no joy. Had to give up after 2 attempts over a week as started to feel sick again. Read a few other reviews where people had the same problem of feeling sick. Don't know after how long though. A real shame, I felt like a child with a new toy but sadly not to be. Product seemed well thought out with lots of functionality. Hope you have some joy, maybe it was my age 60 or just me eyes.
