This weird looking device is ingenious!
Listen, I have shaved off my chin hairs for ten years now due to absolute ignorance of all things beauty. And so those puppies were as hard as wire and tough as nails. Nothing was taking them off: not wax, not sugar wax, not one single cream worked. Even individually tweezing was a nightmare. Like uprooting trees! But when I tried this little gadget I had the most amazing success! Did it hurt? It stung but just when the pain is really building up the hairs are out. Besides, walking around with black hairs on my chin in public is far more painful...
Also I used a little trick ~ rub baby teething gel all over the area, then add a hot compress. Let this sit for a moment and then dry off and set to work. Takes a bit of the nip out of the sting. Re-apply as needed, keep up with the hot compresses to open the skin and help everything come out easier. (I learned this from plucking chickens hah!) Granted, this review is for chin hair. It would probably be more painful for upper lip. So far, so good with my skin: I've not had any kind of reaction, and I have very sensative skin.
