Rosemary Drysdale has written a well thought out book. This book is aimed at intermediate knitters and above but if you can knit, purl, cast on & off, pick up stitches and read a pattern then you will be able to do entrelac.

The book is split into three main sections. Section one is a basic how to of entrelac knitting. Section two is a pattern library of things that you can do to the entrelac squares - lace, cables etc. This section is fantastic for starting to design your own entrelac items and something I haven't seen in other books about this technique. Section three is a variety of patterns to show off entrelac from a long waistcoat, shawl and bags.

This book may have been published in the US so some of the terms may be unfamiliar, but metric needle sizes and tension (gauge) are given so that yarn substitution looks straight forward. But this technique lends itself to using up stash yarn anyway!

Great addition to my knitting library

This book is a great introduction to Entrelac and will take you beyond the introduction and through development of your new skill. Clear instructions and photos. Stitch gallery is great with clear instructions on how to do the different entrelac patterns. The projects and patterns are great at the back of the book (once again, nicely photographed) with something to suit most people.

Fabulous book. Easy to use and some lovely patterns to try. I've started with the different pattern swatches and I want to do them all!

A gorgeous book (just look at that cover!) on one of my favourite knitting techniques. Entrelac looks fancy and complicated but is anything but, and this book gives you all the information you need to know to get started, including a stitch gallery, how to design your own patterns, how to knit in the round and some beyond fabulous patterns for entrelac socks, shawls and more. Perfect for an introduction to a new technique or as a gift for a knitter friend!

This book was lent to me by a friend who knows I am into knitting. The patterns are just lovely and I am currently making the rosebud jacket for my grand-daughter. I know I could keep my friend's book for as long as I wanted but I just had to have my own copy. Brilliant book and excellent diagrams for the beginner to Entrelac. Husband is going to get the strawberry hat for the winter...........

I really love this book and find it very easy to use and understand. I have never knitted Entrelac before so started by knitting a cushion cover. Rather than knit it plain I incorporated three of the patterns and it looks delightful. I used Malabrigo Worsted - shade Orchid. I am now ready to try something else.
