Synopsis

In the second series of ENTOURAGE, actor-on-the-rise Vince Chase (Adrian Grenier) once again enlists the company and support of his childhood pals from Queens, New York, to join him on his path towards stardom. More than happy to oblige, Eric (Kevin Connolly), who is now Vince's manager; Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), who still bumbles through life in a stoned haze; and Z-list actor and brother of Vince Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon) form Chase's entourage. Vince's agent, Ari (Jeremy Piven), and no-nonsense publicist, Shauna (Debi Mazar), also return. Highlights of the series include Vince's indecision over whether to star in a forthcoming James Cameron project, Drama demonstrating his cult appeal at a sci-fi convention, and a surprise appearance from Mandy Moore.

Based on Mark Wahlberg's experiences of fame, Entourage looks at Vince Chase as he tries to carve out a acting career in Hollywood with the help of his friends; Eric who doubles as his manager; Jonny Drama, Vince's older brother who is a struggling actor; and Turtle, who is basically Vince's gopher. Along for the ride is Vince's high profile manager Ari, who is utterly demanding, pushy and charming- all the things that make him a successful agent.

Creatively more successful than the first, this second season delves a little deeper into the boys' Hollywood life. Unlike the first season which whilst being incredibly enjoyable, was more standalone, with the boys coasting from party to party. This season has proper story arcs, the main one being trying to get Vince the lead role in the Aquaman movie. Eric tries to fit in as his role as manager and as Vince's friend which isn't always easy as he finds out. Ari has one of my favourite story lines as the season draws to close- something to look forward to of you're watching this show for the first time!

This season is more star studded than the first, with Mandy Moore, James Cameron and Brooke Shields all appearing as themselves as well as a visit to the Playboy Mansion for the boys.

This is incredibly funny show and is a brilliant look at the good life of a movie star. I'd recommend it to anyone especially if you're looking for well written, escapism TV.

Class series, your man who plays Ari Gold is fantastic, and he is by far the best thing in this series, a brilliant character. In second place has to be Jonny Drama, who cracks me up. The main fella, who plays Vince is a bit wooden but I guess the thing isn't about him, its about his mates. A very cool series, get involved.
