This book is one of the few worth re-reading. Her account is candid and feels true, unlike other shamanic stories I've read. One grows from reading it. It goes well beyond temporary entertainment. It gives the seeker substance to grow from. I highly recommend it.

I have read heaps of books on Shamanism and its practice, and its a rare book that explains everything so that the layman can understand it. This book is written like a story, but shows so much of what can be done when entering an alternate reality yet remaining within this one. This book shows that there is some basis to the ancient ways and one that is becoming increasingly popular and important in this day and age.

Olga writes from the heart, and writes from the viewpoint of a logical psychiatric doctors point of view. This makes this book worth reading becuase this woman works with the mind.

I cant recommend this book enough, especially if you are new to Shamanism. This will explain things that other books try to and dont quite manage! definatly worth the money!

This book tells a story of how Olga Kharitidi developed an awareness of shamanism in the Altai mountains of Siberia.

As someone who has read hundreds of spiritual books I found a strong resonance with the book and it "felt" like there is an important message contained within. Your addictions, depressions and anger may well have a source in traumatic damage to your soul which can be resolved with the help of shamanic techniques. Olga Kharitidi is a medically trained doctor and has stuck her neck out for her beliefs. She has opened the door to ancient shamanic knowledge and since reading her book I have bought several others to help sort out issues in my life.

This is an opportunity to get new insights into why you behave the way you do. Highly recommended.
