The subject is well researched and presented in a format that draws the reader in. We are presented with reports which are reviewed in an open ended style. The author says something "wonderfull and mysterious is happening" in the region. I'm not sure if I agree that cattle and possible human mutilations are "wonderful" events, but the subject matter cannot be ignored. Compelling enugh to have persuaded a trio of us to plan a trip and "Enter The Valley" this summer for ourselves. Dan

Christopher O'Brien gives us another book in detail about a special site that is active with UFO's, government coverups, and other phenomena.

O'Brien, the self-proclaimed "renowned ufologist", was incomprehensibly given a second book contract from the geniuses at St. Martins Press after his first tour-de-force, Mysterious Valley.
Apparently having run out of UFO and cattle mutilation stories, O'Brien's second book is a rambling, poorly written discourse on such inane topics as devil sightings, teleporting nuns, self-flagellating religious zealots, cannibalism, hollow-earth stories and appearances of leprechauns.
Don't even think about descending to his level in regard to this book.

HASH(0x96d9c1b0) out of 5 stars Great collection of mysterious stories 14 Oct. 2014
By Luke M. Waldron - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Mass Market Paperback Verified Purchase
This a great collection of well-researched stories about the mysterious San Luis Valley situated mainly in South Central Colorado. Secret military bases, UFO sightings, and encounters with all manner of strange creatures are some of the subjects covered. Some of stories are just bizarre while a few are genuinely frightening. Each story has ample information produced in the form of eye witness accounts or historical documents to ensure this stuff isn't just being made up. Mr. O'Brien has a no-nonsense, unbiased approach to his research, which is a refreshing change from most books or media of this type and subject matter. A fascinating read.

I used to check out this and THE MYSTERIOUS VALLEY from the Taos Public Library, until they were eventually stolen. I'm a huge fan on his work on cattle mutilations and other mysteries of the magnificent San Luis Valley.

Highly recommened!

HASH(0x9508c720) out of 5 stars UFO Reader of 100 Books 9 Jan. 2004
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

I liked this book and think you will too. Not as good as his first but still interesting and worth while... Why? Because this man, unlike most other UFO writers actually got out on the ground and did 1000 hours ++ investigation --- and then wrote it up for us to read. Buy it! It is a good value, definitely one of the better books out there.

pretty okay read of different perspectives of beings and actions to see, hear or expect to encounter when and if you venture to this valley...not silly -- serious.
