Loved It! 9 Aug. 2011

As a product of the 80's club scene, I took a step back in time with the colorful and poignant characters in this fast-paced, often laugh out loud story. Underneath the very real London club scene of the 80's -- full of drugs, sex, gang bangers and cross-dressing divas -- was the coming of age story of a young man on the verge of finding himself and in the process real love. Love of family, love of friends, love of self.

CM Harris has a fluid and colorful writing style that whisks you away to the seedy clubs and the palatial estates that set the scene for this fun read.

My only criticism of the work is the plot twist which the previous reviewer also mentioned. While tempting, I will not give it away here, as it is a pivotal part of the story that readers must experience themselves.
Enjoyed the trip back to London 9 Aug. 2011

I just finished this book and I thought it was a really good read. The characters were real and flawed. London was just as I remembered it from my many visits in the late 80's, early 90's. It was fast paced, with a surprising twist that kept me moving forward. I have recommended it to several friends.

But didn't hold me. I had to read this for a book club and it did not captivate me to the point of even finishing it.
