Ennismore, even the name of the album conjures up a feeling of peace and rustic tranquility. Well really this is Colin's masterpiece - a tour de force of great singing, great songs and wonderful production by Chris White and Rod Argent. Stand outs are "I don't believe in miracles", "How could we dare to be wrong", Exclusively for me" and my own personal favourite "Every sound I heard" a track which I guarantee you will play over and over again and never forget. An album for people who love great music with a singer at the peak of his powers and cruelly neglected when the great names and voices of rock music are discussed. Please go to Ennismore and enjoy the experience.

Ennismore was named after the road Colin lived in with his friend Duncan Browne (who had hits with 'Journey' and Wild Places'). It was a time of marathon Monopoly games, late night drinking and wonderful camaraderie. it was out of this special atmosphere that the album 'Ennismore' was born.

It remains one of my favourite Blunstone albums - for a start we have the adorable 'I Don't Believe ion Miracles' and my personal favourite, 'Andorra'.

It is an album of beautiful, sweet vocals, gorgeous melodies and well chosen lyrics. There isn't a duff track here and to this day, it remains a work of pure beauty.

Finally-Ennismore on CD! 27 Mar. 2002
By "bonzee" - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This classic 'gem' followed up 'One Year' without a loss in Colin's quality to put together a wonderful collection of songs - many penned by himself. This is more of a 'band' album rather than 'One Year's' classical bent...but it is truly a great follow up!
'I don't Believe in Miracles' is haunting, and to this day probably one of Colin's finest songs!. 'Exclusively for me' and 'Every sound I Heard' are true Blunstone classics! as is 'Time's Running Out' Chris white's 'Andorra' is another great song.
If you like Colin, it's criminal not to have this album on CD! If you're new to his work - this, along with 'One Year' and 'Journey' are bound to remain close to the CD player for a long time.
Colin was and remains one of pop music's legendary singers.

Finally found a copy again 23 Sept. 2003
By P. J. Walstra - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This was an album that I used to have on vinyl just after it came out. It was a present from a friend and I really didn't know any of Colin's solo works. What a pleasant surprise this album was. All the songs on it are great. Most people know (or should) songs like I Don't Believe In Miracles and Andorra, but songs like How Could we Dare To Be Wrong, I've Always Had You and Time's Running Out are just as great!
Warmly recommended. Just a shame that is seems to be available only in a pretty expensive Japanese edition (more so when you consider there's only just over 30 minutes of music on the album).
Sophistication & sincerity in equally wonderful measure 23 May 2012

Colin Blunstone's follow-up to his superb debut "One Year" is just as lovely & haunting, right from the opening of "I Don't Believe In Miracles" to the final notes of "How Could We Dare To Be Wrong" -- and there's more of a unifying thread here, as Colin has written more of the material & his sensibility is felt even more strongly.

Of course that evocative voice could carry even the weakest material! But he has the highest quality to work with here, both from his own hand & from his former Zombies bandmates. The overall sound is a memorable mixture: the sophistication of a singer who's lived & experienced much, and can express those emotions with subtlety & nuance; and a direct, heartfelt openeness that immediately connects with your deepest feelings. It sounds so effortless at firsy, but it's so rich, retaining its power over repeated listenings.

Yes, it's just 30 minutes or so -- but it's a magical 30 minutes, with no filler & nothing wasted -- highly recommended!
