Review

'...gives extremely pertinent advice on the practical criticism of poetry, prose and drama... .Ranging over everything from Chaucer to modern drama this sketches in the background and then cunningly identifies question areas. A good idea...'

5.0 out of 5 stars The best aid for both teachers and students 26 Aug 2013

I teach at a Teachers' training college and I use this book in a subject called Language and Culture. It deals with all the necessary issues a student of literature needs. The information is arranged in a very clear way which students can follow easily. Besides, it includes model questions for students to practice. I chose this book because I had aleady been working with the first edition.
