1.0 out of 5 stars American Students of English ... 27 Aug. 2013

American Students of English should NOT use this 'book' for help with Standard American English. Priced at 99 cents, this Kindle book can be tempting, but be advised that there are way too many tense errors and way too many simple syntax errors to be of use to you. The author is Cambodian and teaches 'English' in Cambodia, which is a worthwhile undertaking, BUT the author's English is not good enough for American students of English. Author Teng knows better 'Taxi English' than I know 'Taxi French' and I can get around in France well enough. American students of English need much more than just enough to "get around".

5.0 out of 5 stars To be or not to be: what's the tense? 12 July 2014

Often we know what sounds right to our ears. When it comes to verb tenses, this is no always the case. Choosing tenses to describe actions that take place at different times in the same sentence can be pretty confusing. All can sound right or not. With "English Grammar: The Verb Tenses" by Sam An Teng our confusion is dispelled. With clarity and simplicity, Teng explains what tense is appropriate when and why. We no longer have to rely on our ears to know if we are correct. This is a book any serious writer should have in his/her collection.
