This DVD covers 7 of England's finest Test victories between 2000 and 2006, and as such ought to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The choice of matches is excellent. Unfortunately, however, too much action is squeezed into one DVD which should instead have ben spread over 2. The result is that one barely has time to draw breath between highlights; before you can enjoy a shot or a wicket you have already gone through about 3 more, and in most cases the ball has barely left the bat before the next frame. This is deeply annoying and ruins the fun. For example, in the legendary Edgbaston Test of 2005, Freddie Flintoff hit one 6 in particular that flew monstrously high and landed on the roof of one of the stands. A classic shot that any cricket fan can picture in his/her mind, sailing through the air with Geoffrey Boycott shrieking with excitement off mic. On this DVD, however, due to the crazed editing, the ball has scarcely left Flintoff's bat before we are onto the next clip. Such a bore - and although we can of course find coverage of the 2005 Ashes elsewhere, some of these matches are not available on DVD. Overall, the cricket is terrific; the editing very disappointing.
